ARIA
The ARIA (analysis, research and information on accidents) database operated by the French Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy lists the accidental events which have, or could have damaged health or public safety, agriculture, nature or the environment. These events are mainly caused by industrial or agricultural facilities that have been or are likely to be classified as hazardous, but also by transportation of hazardous materials and other events with lessons that also apply in this context. The list of accidents and incidents in France and abroad, which cannot be seen as exhaustive, together with analysis of them, has been in place since 1992.
